Customer Review: Comfortable for running and keeps you warm!
Bought these $50 tights for my 16 yo cross-country runner who averages 40 miles a week. Live in Seattle area, so winters average in 30s and 40s and are WET (surprise!). She really liked them and said that they kept her warm without making her hot, and didn’t chafe - she didn’t really notice them while she was running.
I was worried about the elastic at the bottom - I thought she would object to that - but she said her friend told her that the way to wear the tights is to pull them down over the heel so that they actually go in the shoe. That worked well for her plus her ankles were warm, too. She has long legs, by the way, but she had no trouble pulling the stretchy material down the extra distance.
I was going to buy her a pair of $70 tights at the local REI, so I saved $20 and am very happy!

Customer Review: Crossing Borders
It’s summer break in Slovenia, and three college students decide to get away from it all on a canoe trip down the Kolpa River, which separates Slovenia from Croatia. Alja (Tanja Potocnik), Simona (Iva Krajnc) and Zana (Pia Zemljic) are all happy to just float away and sunbathe topless.
It turns out to be a trip about crossing many different borders. Alja deals with pressures to be “normal” by marrying and having children. The naive Simona seems obsessed with finding a fairytale man, but is confronted by men in a different way when they visit a house on the Croatian side of the river. Their hosts are a gay couple, and she disapproves. She’s also horrified when she sees Zana and Alja kissing. Zana is looking for love and pursues Alja throughout the trip.
Issues of nationality, tradition, urban versus rural “family” values, as well as sexism and homophobia are confronted as they are caught crossing the border illegally and then find themselves in a village of people much more aggressively traditional than their young, urban selves. When they are pursued by would be rapists, everything turns even darker.
Simona escapes into a fantasy world as she rejects her friends’ more modern values. Zana and Alja finally make love, but it’s unclear if Alja is interested in the relationship Zana craves.
This is the first Slovenian feature film directed by a woman (Maja Weiss). I have a feeling that many of the cultural references were lost on me, as the fantasy sequences were confusing. The political and social issues are quite fascinating though. buy from here…

Cobra 25 WXNWST Mobile CB Radio with NightWatch, SoundTracker, and Weather Channels
May 25, 2008
Warn other drivers of traffic problems, get help in case of emergency, and learn the local hot spots with the Cobra 25 WXNWST CB radio, an ideal unit for professional truckers and other drivers. Outfitted with Cobra’s NightWatch technology–which features solid-state, electroluminescent backlighting that fully illuminates the radio’s functions and buttons–the radio maximizes night vision while minimizing eye fatigue, making it safe and convenient for drivers everywhere. Of course, the device also excels because of its 40 CB radio channels and heavy-duty dynamic microphone (with a generous 9-foot cord), which keeps drivers connected whether on the highways or in the city. Drivers can dynamically adjust the mic level for increased voice clarity–a must when overcoming the noise of gravelly diesel engines–or fine-tune the audio levels via the three-position control. Further adding to the audio clarity is Cobra’s exclusive SoundTracker system, which reduces static by up to 90 percent for clean, precise transmission and reception of CB signals.
While CB channels are the radio’s main currency, the 25 WXNWST also receives seven weather channels from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The channels offer 24-hour weather updates in all 50 states, ensuring that you’re never caught unaware by a rainstorm, blizzard, or heavy winds. The radio even includes an emergency weather alert that sounds an alarm when threatening conditions–such as a tornado or other hazard–is nearby, even when the CB is turned off. And should an emergency crop up, drivers can instantly access the emergency and information channels (9 and 19, respectively).
Additional features include tactile controls, which let the driver feel the dial position without taking his or her eyes off the road; a PA function that lets drivers use the CB as a public address system; a switchable noise blanker for increased noise reduction; and a front microphone connector for attaching the microphone in or under the dash. The 4-watt radio–the maximum wattage allowed by law–measures 6.38 by 2.2 by 8.62 inches (W x H x D) and is backed by a two-year warranty.

May 22, 2008
Customer Review: “Hooah!” is not even printed on the packaging!
The package I received says “Soldier Fuel” (not “Hooah!”) and I was really disappointed by that. I thought it was funny & neat so I bought it, but I did not get what was advertised.
Customer Review: excellent!
These bars are great right before a big workout in the gym and also about 1 hour before I go running. I’ve tried many bars and the taste cannot be beat! buy from here…
MAG INSTRUMENT 2D/C MAGLITE LED Upgrade Module
May 22, 2008
2 Cell, Maglite LED Upgrade Module, 3W Luxeon Bulb, For 2 Cell “C” Or “D” Size Standard Maglite Flashlights, Will Retro Fit Standard Maglite 2 “C” Or 2 “D” Flashlights Only, Is Cell Size Specific & Is Noted On The Hang Pack Package, Will Not Void The Mag Instrument, Inc. Warranty.
Customer Review: Awesome! Buy it. Period.
It’s brighter than the regular bulb. It focuses to a spot and also to a wide flood. It uses much less energy than the regular bulb. It is awesome!
Some differences - first of all, I think the incadescent bulb focuses slightly better, but honestly, the LED is quite superior in every other respect.
The LED has a slight blue tint whereas the incadescent has more of a yellow tint.
The combination of a Maglite with an LED bulb makes a pretty awesome flashlight. I think a much better value than a ShureFire.
I also bought a 3 watt LED AA Maglite as well as the 1 watt LED upgrade for my other AA Maglite. Love them both.
Customer Review: Awesome.
If you have a mag light you owe it to yourself to buy this. It’s like having a stadium floodlight in your hand. Brilliant and intense white light just beams out for miles. buy from here…
Columbia Sportswear Men’s Razor Ridge Low 2 Hiking Shoe
May 22, 2008

The internal EVA midsole provides flexible, lightweight cushioning, while the non-marking Omni-Grip® rubber cupsole with lug tread pattern delivers exceptional grip on a variety of terrains.
Customer Review: Runs absurdly small…
This shoe is literally 1″ smaller than my other shoes. How they could have said it was an 8 1/2 is beyond me.
And now that I realize that it is way too small relative to other shoes, the size up is sold out. Great.
Customer Review: Not bad, but runs small
I have a number of Columia hiking boots and shoes and have found them to be great active shoes. These are a little disappointing. Firstly they run small and not true to size. I wear a 12 and had to go to a 13 since they don’t offer 12.5. So order a 1/2 size larger. I even compared it with other Columbia shoes I own and I found the shoe to be smaller than others of the same size.
The quality of this low rise shoe is a departure from the same mid height model: it uses simple lace eye holes rather than metal hooks and syling that is less sporty than the comparable mid height model hiking boot. Also the tongue closure is unusually wide when laced; I think this may be because this shoe was designed for the heavy duty metal lace hooks that come on the mid height but instead it got simple lace holes without the hooks so it doesn’t close as well.
So it is a not quite as recommendable as other Columbia shoes I’ve owned. buy from here…
Mag Instrument Mini AA Flashlight Accessory Pack #AM2A016
May 22, 2008
Accessory Pack for AA Aluminum Flashlight, Includes Pocket Clip, Lanyard Wrist Strap With Key Ring, Lens Holder, Red Clear And Amber Lens
Customer Review: nite vision saver
The red filter and the rubber cap are needed in a boat or other situation at nite to keep your nite vision and your flashlite more stable. The clip also helps once I cannot use the string in a LED MINI MAG ( the end does not have a place to fit the ring). USEFULL
Customer Review: This doesn’t match the description
The description says that it has an AMBER lens. It does not, so I had to return it. buy from here…
