Customer Review: Bad customer support from Thermos
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son, and it arrived without the carabiner, which was a key feature that he wanted. I called Thermos customer service and had a bad experience: it took a long time to answer my call, they were a bit rude on the phone, they disconnected the call, then they offered to send a replacement carabiner in 14 days — far too slow to meet my needs.
I use a company’s customer service attitude as a good indicator of their products. If they don’t take care of their customers, they probably don’t design their products to meet customers’ needs either. buy from here…

Nice light. Well made and feels comfortable in your hand. The white light is bright for an LED and the switch for the red and blue is seperate so you don’t have to cycle through. Great light for the price.

There are certainly better “high end” flashlights available, but for a nice solid feel and excellent overall performance this is highly recommended.
The red and blue light features are pretty good say for a passenger reading a map at night.

I found this product for use with the Six Week Body Makeover, by Michael Thurmond, they guy who whips people into shape on Extreme Makeover. I needed to find a way to get egg whites into my diet without actually having to choke them down! I use these powdered egg whites in lots of recipes on that plan, but mostly for smoothies. 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, 4 tsp powdered egg whites, 1/2 of a small banana, a little water and sweetener (if you like) and blend. Really easy and tastes really good. I cannot even detect the egg white in the taste, which is a huge plus. I am now ordering my second 2.25 pound can! Great stuff!
Customer Review: A protein shake that tastes good
I have been weight training and trying to eat a higher protein diet. I can no longer bear the sight of turkey, egg-white omelets or cottage cheese. I dislike artificial sweeteners (mostly due to their taste) so I don’t care for any pre-made shakes I have tried. I turned to whey protein (bleck…maybe more experimentation will yield something better)and soy protein (bleck redux) but couldn’t stand them.
But I like this! I wouldn’t eat it plain (it’s not THAT good), but the taste is easily coverable with yummy and healthy additives. This morning I made a “shake” that was 1C OJ (Tropicana Grovestand), 1/4C (appx) pure pomegranate juice, 1/4C egg whites (22g protein), 1/4C (appx) plain non-fat yogurt, and one banana. I blended these together with a few ice cubes, and yum! Even my kids love it!
It probably has a lot of naturally occuring sugar from the fruits and yogurt, but I am happy with the content and nutrients, and I can drink it happily without forcing it down!
I have tried the Honeyville dried fruits and been pretty happy with them as well (much better blueberries than for pancakes), so I will look forward to adding these for variety when I can’t find good fresh fruit. buy from here…

Customer Review: Moon publishing versus Foghorn Press
I have been a fan of Tom Stienstra’s California Camping book for over 12 years. First purchased the 8th Edition from Foghorn Press. This particular edition from Moon is not nearly as well set up as the Foghorn Press editions.
The individuals maps are not as detailed, and much smaller print is used. The gridded “Chapter Reference Map” at the beginning of the Foghorn edition has now been replaced by a “California Regions” map not as useful. Foghorn edition also had a “Chapter Features” list of each numbered and named campground on each map, this is missing in the Moon edition. The foghorn edition also had a foldout California map in the back, quite useful if you forget to bring a map and this is also missing in the Moon edition.
As the previous reviewer took exception to the “Scenic ratings” this was not an issue for me personally as this is only a subjective classification. What might be a 5 for some, might be a 10 for someone else. Beauty after all IS in the eye of the beholder. Over the years I have seen many classify McArthur Burney Falls as a beautiful place. I was there once it was hot, dusty, not much of a falls and in my humble opinion not very pretty at all. Anyway, you get my point on that, I would never visit a place solely based on someones view of it.
All in all the Moon edition is useful if you have nothing else, but I for one am glad I retained my old Foghorn Press 11th edition, and oh Tom, if you happen to read this, please go back to Foghorn, and that format for the next edition

Well i read all the reviews VERY carefully before i bought theese things….i was a bit scared at first naturally eating a egg from powder but i kept thinking about the buffet eggs…we all know thir not real eggs yet theres something magical about them! lol i figured i could make my own shoneys buffet at home…(kinda lol) but anyhoo i made some right when they got here as i was anxious to try em….lemme say when i tried them i wasnt very hungry at all so im sure that had something to do with it…but in all honesty their not bad all…. they aint like the buffet eggs…granted ove only made about 3 eggs..(3 tsb) one thing i did learn is DO NOT COOK THIS EGG ON A HOT SURFACE! cook it slow…this aint no real egg….it gets all dry and, well, nasty to be honest. but if you asking yourself of you should buy theese eggs, and you have the spare cash and if you dont feel like running to get a dozen eggs every few days then yeah id deffinetly do it…they taste pretty good actually, but one thing i noticed was the “yoke factor” if i had it to do ovre again i would have gotten the egg whites….as im using these just for breakfast eggs.
theese are really yolky…i always eat the yoks too…but theese seem like powderd yolks to be honest…lol so if you doing some baking and need yokes get theese! but if your like me and want scrambled eggs…get the whites they may be more but theyre probbly worht it.
but if your a super yolk fan get theese…anyhoo thats about it..
they are decent eggs, and i would probably get them again (whites next time)

I bought these for a camping trip. Mixed exactly as described. Taste great. Once cooked could not tell the difference in them and whole eggs. Taste and texture exactly the same. Them seem to thin when you first mix them but once cooked they are great. buy from here…
