Streamlight Twin-Task 5-1/2-Inch Laser Pointer Flashlight, Black #52104
March 25, 2008
Twin-Task 3AAA Laser Black Aluminum Body 5 LEDs 1 Xenon
Customer Review: DISAPPOINTMENT FOR A PREMIUM LIGHT
I was looking forward to this light very much, and when I got it I was very disappointed. Ok, the laser is cool, and its the best part of the light. THe led setting is ok, but the Xenon bulb, was terrible and the light beam was very weak. The Xenon is supposed to be the brightest setting for the light , and it was basically useless. The switch is a very small and is a very stiff push button. Its hard to find it if you are in the dark and in a hurry, not good for a flashlight…Plus you have to push it three times consecutively, to go through the sequence of laser only, led only, and Xenon plus laser . Another design issue I dont understand is why they used 3 AAA batteries instead of 3 AA’s. The flashlight is much thicker than most AA’s but it takes AAA’s. THe thickness makes it quite awkward to carry and to hold.
I had thought that Streamlights were made in USA. I was wrong about that for this model,.its made in China. I didnt like it nearly as well as the Inova I bought. Read my review of that. buy from here…

Customer Review: Good bright light at a great price
I ordered one of these headlamps to keep in the car for any night-time emergencies. For the price, this light is really great and worth a 5 star rating in my opinion, but it’s not as fancy as some. I’ve also got a Black Diamond Helion LED Headlamp (more than 3 times the cost of this unit) that I have used almost daily for the last 2 or 3 years, and am making some comparisons to that.
This light is surprisingly bright, with the beam being a somewhat defined medium-diameter spot. It’s not as bright as those lights with the new Luxeon LEDs but it’s very bright and won’t wear down the batteries as fast as a Luxeon LED. The projected beam is not totally even in color on my unit, with a slight yellower cast projected near the middle of the spot and a blue-purple tint at the outer edges of the projected spot. This may not be a big deal for some, and may be due to the magnifiers used on the lens.
While wearing the lamp, I noticed some reflection of light off of my eyebrows. They’re not huge eyebrows or anything, but it was a slight distraction and is due to the lens projecting out slightly from the front of the light.
The headband is adequate and can be snugged-up nicely, and would fit a child too. The single band is not as secure feeling as those lights with an additional band that goes over the top of one’s head, and may be prone to sliding down with a lot of vertical body motion like running, etc.
The pivoting lamp housing makes it easy to adjust the vertical beam position, with its smooth movement, swinging down and away from the battery compartment. Some other lights ratchet up and down in their adjustment.
The red LED seems handy for night vision and has even red lighting (not as much of a spot as the white). The housing seems consistent with price (plastic and inexpensive feeling), with a snap-off battery cover which feels a bit fragile if one were not careful with it. But over-all, this seems to be a great deal for the price.
Customer Review: LED Headbeam
Works well and puts out a lot of light. Only thing I can say is it needs an over the head expandable strap to keep it from working its way down your forehead when used in a mine pounding on rocks. The vibration of the pounding makes it slip if you are sweating a lot. I had to readjust the strap many times and when you get it so that it does not slip it is to tight on your head for comfort. With a helmet it stays just fine if the helmet you are using has that little bill in the front. buy from here…

Customer Review: Love love love this product!
I use this thing all the time, it’s awesome. Don’t really like the way it freaks out a bit when you travel but it usually catches up - wear it a bit before actually running for a time/distance that’s accurate. Overall I love it…keeps me on track and makes me see how hard I’ve worked towards a goal.
Customer Review: For data junkies
This has been one of my greatest purchases ever. This very easily tracks my mileage, speed, pace, etc. It is simple to use and uploads to my computer with ease.
I wish the software gave me greater options for analyzing and planning future runs but even as it stands it is good.
The wristmount unit is not heavy or cumbersome to run with and I love it. buy from here…

Customer Review: Nothing Better than Crocs!
I purchased Crocs two years ago following reconstructive surgery on my foot. I’ve never gone without them since, and I’ve purchased them for everyone in my family. I told my surgeon about them, and now he recommends them to all his patients. I don’t know what I would have done without them!
Customer Review: Disappointed
I like Crocs, but I bought these and had to return them because of a confusion with size. I wanted a W8, so I ordered in the Men’s sizes. In the long run, I went back and forth with the company, who I was able to find a nice customer service agent who was willing to work with me to try to get it to me be Christmas. However, after all the back and forth communication, they didn’t have the W8 in black after all. So I had to find the Crocs elsewhere. The did issue a refund. I just wasted a lot of time. Be sure you are ording a W for women’s sizes and M for men’s sizes. buy from here…
Carry on Camping
March 23, 2008
Customer Review: BIT OF A LETDOWN,
I;d say,to enter CARRY ON CAMPING in the Search box and end up with a bunch of ads for Port-a-Potties. Sid’s still laughing.
Customer Review: Silly full-length Britcom; add 1 star if you know the series
The “Carry On” series was a staple of British cinema for decades, with the action centering on an ensemble of comedians (like America’s Bowery Boys or Japan’s Crazy Cats). In this one, sharp Sid James and dull Bernard Bresslaw try to entice their reserved girlfriends to a racy campsite; unhappily married Terry Scott expects a bleak vacation with his preoccupied wife; sissy Charles Hawtrey wants to experience the great outdoors; prissy officials of a girls’ school escort their nubile students on a field trip. Naturally everyone converges at the same place, with predictably absurd complications in the tents, in the shower, and on the campgrounds. “Carry On Camping” seems to be typical of the series, with broad performances, double-entendre dialogue, and punchlines telegraphed far in advance for maximum effect. Except for a “newsreel” of a nudist colony at the very beginning, the action is fairly tame in the music-hall/burlesque tradition..British viewers raised on this stuff will like it best; American viewers will find it a cross between Benny Hill and the “Love, American Style” TV sitcom. The players tackle the corny script with gusto, even when some of the jokes are ancient (a farm girl taking her cow to the bull.is asked, “Couldn’t your father do that?” and the girl replies, “No, it’s got to be the bull”). Benny Hill actually used this same gag, with similar results, and fans of Hill’s unsubtle comedy will find the same obvious but surefire humor here. Print quality and video transfer are very good. buy from here…

March 23, 2008
This nifty gadget may look like an ordinary multi-purpose Swiss Army knife, but it’s not. Inside, 512 megabytes of USB memory allow users to transport image, music, and data files from home to office and back again. Small enough to hang from a keychain, it’s a great accessory for the frequent traveler and an ideal gift for the business adventurer with a James Bond frame of mind. About Swiss Army Knives
In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener’s mother, and “inox,” or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The original product dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer’s and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor for versatility.
Customer Review: One of the best purchases I’ve ever made
This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. It has everything I’m always in need of. Little scissors and a file for quick nail fixes. I. love always having a small knife to open all the packages that arrive in the mail. The pen has come in handy on many occasions eventhough I normally have one in my purse. The light is the only feature I find useless. The 512MB USB may not be enough for most people so that every few months they’ll have to do some housekeeping (back-up and deleting) to free up space.
Just don’t have it on you as you go through security for a flight. But that’s no different than any swiss army knife. I’ve never had a problem remembering that.
Customer Review: Amazon misleading price
I don’t understand why Amazon would lie about the price. amazon said it was 60% off the original price of $98 (one day left)–but actually I went to the product’s site and 512 m memory knife cost $49. Amazon, shame on you! buy from here…
